In brief, you should know the following about us: AAUW was established in
1881 and it is the nation's oldest and largest organization working to promote
education and equity for women and girls ever since.
Our Mission Statement
AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and
research. In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a
diversified membership. There shall be no barriers to full participation
in the organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual
orientation, national origin or disability.
Our Vision Statement
AAUW Palm Springs Branch is committed to making a significant impact on education and
equity for all women and girls. We will remove barriers and develop
opportunities to enable women and girls to reach their full potential.
This shared vision drives the work of AAUW at all levels.
